Baking Instructions

Baking our bougatsa is easy; just follow the instructions below! Once baked, it’s flaky and fresh. Your yiayia will swear it’s homemade!

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until pastry rises.
  3. Puncture pastry and flip it.
  4. Cook for another 3-5 minutes or until golden.
  5. For Chocolate Bougatsa, dust with powdered sugar. For Custard Bougatsa, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
  6. Cut to desired size and enjoy.
